Frankie Martin - Imagine Mirrors

From small beginnings in a Bristol garden shed in 1986, Imagine has grown to offer a wide range of high quality handmade mirror frames. In 1996, Frankie, was joined by her husband, Andrew and finally in 2000, they moved to the Newent area of Gloucestershire, enjoying the luxury of a purpose-built workshop.

The mirror frames are made with birch laminate because it widens the design possibilities. A whole frame can be created from one sheet of wood. The chances of the frame warping with heat or damp are minimal .

Frankie developed her own technique for carving the laminate to incorporate birds, flowers and animals into garden, woodland and water scenes, These carvings are also used to decorate the simpler frames.

You are most welcome to visit the workshop, but please ring beforehand.
