Bernadette Erskine-Hornyold

Bespoke travel & Handbags

Having served an apprenticeship at Angel's theatrical costumiers in London in the late 1970's, Bernadette started designing and making bags inspired by a waistcoat she made for Anthony Hopkins. She sold her early designs from a stand at the Apple market in Covent Garden, gradually growing the business in the 1980's and early 90's when numerous prestigious shops in London and New York carried the collection.
For the past 12 years, Bernadette has concentrated on the bespoke aspect and tailors each bag to order whilest carrying a limited selection to display at shows with the Herefordshire Guild of Craftsmen and at the Cornhall in Cirencester.
