Alison Payne makes original Resin Creations produce a varied selection of 3-D models. Pieces range from brooches through to free-standing models. Every design is original.
The first process is sculpting the original piece in a wax-based medium, followed by a complicated process of making a mould using silicone rubber. After the mould has been cut open and the original removed, polyester casting resin is poured into the cavity. After setting hard, the cast item is removed from the mould then tidied up using a high powered air driven tool, to free the piece from any imperfections. The final process involves decorating each piece by hand using enamels & other mediums to achieve the desired effect. After spraying with a fixative the piece is inspected and rejected mercilessly if it is considered not worthy of display.
We are producing high quality work for the individual. Not everything shown appeals to everybody and therefore we offer a commission service; no request is too small or too large. It is more expensive but at the same time can be considered unique. All work is exhibited at Guild events.
